Please read all sections carefully before enrolling or utilizing any services provided by our institution. Your enrollment and use of our services signifies your acceptance of these policies.
1. Privacy Policy
Divine Group of Institutions respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
(i) In general, parent/guardian/student may browse this website for obtaining any data or information. However, in order to access the classified information, one needs to use the credentials provided as a Parent/Guardian/Staff/Student user.
(ii) Divine Group of Institutions may share your personal information (Name, Email ID, Mobile No., Courses, Date of Birth) with our bankers for clearing necessary fee payments. This information shall be strictly up to the legal permissible limit and not exceeding.
(iii) Online Fee Payment system purpose is to provide flexibility and convenience to its continuing students by offering options to pay online using various payment methods. However, if a student is not conversant with such payment options/internet or payment gateway, then he/she may deposit the necessary fees through challan by visiting the designated bank branch.
(iv) It is the sole responsibility of the student to pick an online payment option. Divine Group of Institutions does not recommend/prefer/promote any particular method.
(v) If payment is made by means of a card that you do not personally own, the permission of the card owner must always be obtained to make payments using the card. In using the system, you confirm that you have such permission.
(vi) Information related to payments using debit or credit card is not accessed or stored by Divine Group of Institutions. All payment information is processed securely by our payment gateway service provider.
2. Terms and Conditions for Online Payment
These terms and conditions apply to users who use the Online Services provided for any payment made to Divine Group of Institutions. Kindly read these terms and conditions carefully. By authorizing a payment to Divine Group of Institutions through the online payment service ("the Service"), it would be treated as deemed acceptance to these terms and conditions. Divine Group of Institutions reserves all the rights to amend these terms and conditions at any time without giving prior notice. It is the responsibility of the user to have read the terms and conditions before using the Service.
The following is a summary of the key terms of this service:
(i) Payment(s) through this Service may only be made with a Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.
(ii) Before using this Service, it is recommended that the user shall make necessary enquiry about the charges or fees payable against the Credit/Debit card used from the Credit Card or Debit Card service provider i.e., the respective Bank.
(iii) The credit card information supplied at the time of using the service is processed by the payment gateway service provider and is not supplied to Divine Group of Institutions. It is the sole responsibility of the User of the service to ensure that the information entered in the relevant fields is correct. It is recommended that you take and retain a copy of the transaction for record keeping purposes, which might assist in resolution of any disputes that may arise out of usage of the service.
(iv) The Applicant agrees, understands and confirms that his/her personal data including without limitation details relating to debit card/credit card/net banking transmitted over the Internet may be susceptible to misuse, hacking, theft and/or fraud and that Divine Group of Institutions or the Payment Service Provider(s) have no control over such matters.
(v) The service is provided using a payment gateway service provider through a secure website. However, neither the payment gateway service provider nor Divine Group of Institutions gives any assurance that the information so provided online by a user is secured or may be read or intercepted by a third party. Divine Group of Institutions does not accept or assume any liability in the event of such unauthorized interception, hacking or other unauthorized access to information provided by a user of the service.
(vi) Divine Group of Institutions and/or the Payment Service Provider(s) shall not be liable for any inaccuracy, error or delay in, or omission of (a) any data, information or message, or (b) the transmission or delivery of any such data, information or message; or (c) any loss or damage arising from or occasioned by any such inaccuracy, error, delay or omission, non-performance or interruption in any such data, information or message. Under no circumstances shall Divine Group of Institutions and/or the Payment Service Provider(s), its employees, directors, and its third party agents involved in processing, delivering or managing the Services, be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or any damages whatsoever, including punitive or exemplary arising out of or in any way connected with the provision of or any inadequacy or deficiency in the provision of the Services or resulting from unauthorized access or alteration of transmissions of data or arising from suspension or termination of the Service.
(vii) The applicant agrees that Divine Group of Institutions or any of its employees will not be held liable by the applicant for any loss or damages arising from your use of, or reliance upon the information contained on the Website, or any failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions where such failure is due to circumstances beyond Divine Group of Institutions' reasonable control.
3. Refund / Cancellation Policy
Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances as per the institution's general policy.
However, in case of dual payments or excess payments, the students may contact the payment service provider. The payment service provider will resolve the issues after verification of details and in consultation with the competent authority of Divine Group of Institutions.
The refund process for duplicate or excess payments may take ten (10) working days from the date of complaint registration.
For refund claims, students must provide:
• Original transaction receipts
• Proof of duplicate/excess payment
• Bank account details for refund transfer
• Written application to the Accounts Department
All refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of the transaction date. Requests submitted after this period may not be entertained.
Refunds, when approved, will be processed through the same payment method used for the original transaction or via bank transfer to the verified account of the student/parent.
Divine Group of Institutions reserves the right to investigate any refund claim and may request additional documentation to verify the authenticity of the claim.
Processing charges, if any, deducted by the payment gateway or bank during the original transaction will not be refunded.
In case of admission cancellation before the commencement of the academic session, refund eligibility will be determined as per the institution's admission and refund guidelines separately notified.
4. Introduction & Acceptance
Welcome to Divine Group of Institutions ("Divine", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms and Conditions govern your relationship with Divine Higher Secondary School and Divine Degree College, located in Nayagarh, Odisha.
By enrolling as a student, accessing our facilities, using our services, or making online payments, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions including the Privacy Policy, Payment Terms, and Refund Policy stated above. If you are a minor, your parent or legal guardian must accept these terms on your behalf.
5. Admission & Enrollment
All admissions are subject to verification of documents and eligibility criteria as per the guidelines of the respective regulatory bodies including the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha, and Utkal University.
Students must submit accurate information during the admission process. Any misrepresentation or submission of false documents may result in immediate cancellation of admission without refund of fees.
Admission is confirmed only upon payment of the prescribed fees within the stipulated time period. The institution reserves the right to cancel provisional admissions if fees are not received by the due date.
Reserved category students must provide valid certificates at the time of admission. Failure to produce authentic documents will result in admission being treated under the general category.
6. Fees & Payment Terms
All fees must be paid by the dates specified in the fee structure notice. Late payment may attract a fine as determined by the institution.
Fee refunds, if applicable, will be processed as per the institution's refund policy stated in Section 3 above and applicable government regulations. Refund requests must be submitted in writing within the specified timeframe.
The institution reserves the right to revise fee structures annually. Students will be notified of any fee changes with reasonable advance notice.
Non-payment of fees may result in denial of access to classes, examinations, and other institutional services until dues are cleared.
7. Academic Policies
Students must maintain a minimum attendance of 75% in each subject as mandated by the respective examination boards. Failure to meet attendance requirements may result in denial of examination permission.
Academic integrity is paramount. Any form of plagiarism, cheating, or academic misconduct will be dealt with severely and may result in disciplinary action including suspension or expulsion.
Students are expected to complete and submit all assignments, projects, and coursework within specified deadlines. Extension requests must be submitted in advance with valid justification.
The institution follows the curriculum prescribed by CHSE Odisha for Higher Secondary courses and Utkal University for Degree programs. Any changes to the curriculum will be communicated promptly.
8. Code of Conduct
Students must conduct themselves in a manner that reflects the values and reputation of Divine Group of Institutions. Respectful behavior towards faculty, staff, and fellow students is mandatory.
Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited and is a punishable offense under Indian law. The institution has a zero-tolerance policy towards ragging.
Use of tobacco, alcohol, or any intoxicating substances within institutional premises is strictly forbidden and will result in disciplinary action.
Students must adhere to the prescribed dress code and maintain appropriate appearance as per institutional guidelines.
Any damage to institutional property will result in financial liability and disciplinary consequences.
9. Examinations & Assessments
Students must appear for all scheduled examinations, tests, and assessments. Absence without valid medical or emergency reasons will result in zero marks for that assessment.
The institution follows the examination schedule and pattern prescribed by CHSE and Utkal University. Internal assessments are conducted as per institutional academic calendar.
Examination misconduct, including possession of unauthorized materials, copying, or any form of unfair means, will result in cancellation of examination and possible expulsion.
Re-evaluation and re-examination processes are governed by the rules of the respective examination authorities.
10. Disciplinary Procedures
The institution reserves the right to take disciplinary action against students for violation of any terms, conditions, rules, or regulations.
Disciplinary measures may include warnings, fines, suspension, rustication, or expulsion depending on the severity of the offense.
A Disciplinary Committee will investigate serious violations and the student will be given an opportunity to present their case before any final decision is made.
Parents or guardians will be informed of any disciplinary proceedings involving their ward.
11. Facilities & Services
The institution provides various facilities including library, laboratories, sports facilities, and computer resources. Students must use these facilities responsibly and follow all rules governing their use.
Library books and materials must be returned within the due date. Lost or damaged items must be compensated at current market rates.
Access to institutional facilities may be restricted or revoked for misuse or violation of facility-specific rules.
12. Data Protection & Security
Divine Group of Institutions respects student privacy and is committed to protecting personal information in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
Student information collected during admission and academic processes will be used solely for educational, administrative, and communication purposes.
The institution may share student information with regulatory authorities, examination boards, and affiliated universities as required by law or academic regulations.
Students and parents may request access to their personal data and seek corrections by submitting a written request to the administration.
13. Intellectual Property
All course materials, including lecture notes, presentations, and proprietary content created by the institution, are the intellectual property of Divine Group of Institutions.
Students may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit institutional materials without prior written permission.
Research work, projects, and creative outputs produced by students may be used by the institution for academic and promotional purposes with appropriate attribution.
14. Liability & Indemnification
While the institution takes reasonable measures to ensure student safety, Divine Group of Institutions shall not be liable for personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property on campus except in cases of proven institutional negligence.
Students participate in extracurricular activities, field trips, and events at their own risk. Appropriate consent and parental approval will be obtained for activities involving travel or potential risk.
The institution is not responsible for disruptions to academic schedules due to circumstances beyond its control, including natural disasters, government orders, strikes, or pandemics.
15. Withdrawal & Discontinuation
Students wishing to withdraw from the institution must submit a written application and complete all necessary exit formalities.
Withdrawal refunds, if applicable, will be processed according to the institutional refund policy.
The institution reserves the right to discontinue a student's enrollment for non-payment of fees, persistent violation of rules, or failure to meet academic requirements.
No dues certificate will be issued only after clearance of all financial and material obligations to the institution.
16. Amendments
Divine Group of Institutions reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Material changes will be communicated through official channels including notice boards, institutional website, and direct communication.
Continued enrollment after amendment notification constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Students and parents are encouraged to regularly review the institutional policies and guidelines.
17. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.
Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Nayagarh, Odisha.
The institution will make reasonable efforts to resolve disputes through internal grievance redressal mechanisms before resorting to legal proceedings.
